The solo exhibition “For Memory and Long Memory” was opened in the “Artget” gallery, which started the Cultural Center of Belgrade with an exhibition season with exhibitions in all three gallery spaces. The exhibition consists of works by photographer Milica Mrvić, and is represented by curator Ivan Manojlović. These are directed photographs, commissioned group portraits created through the process of cooperation with the portrayed.
As Manojlović explains, due to the complexity and the way they are constructed, these portraits are rich documents of the modern way of life and the need to move ourselves and the people around us to a different environment that stimulates us intellectually or contains symbols and values we share. and their images can be culturally determined in a complex, profound, and mysterious way. Producing mystery in today’s hyperreal world is perhaps one of the most important skills.
The exhibition is open until February 24.
