The number of citizens positive for coronavirus is growing, and the epidemiological situation in the country is extremely difficult and extraordinary, said today after the session of the Crisis Staff the Provincial Secretary of Health Zoran Gojković and appealed to everyone to respect the valid measures.
Gojković reported that the Crisis Staff decided to reduce the duration of quarantine for the infected from 10 to seven days, due to a milder form of the disease, and in order for the citizens to return to work as soon as possible.
It was also decided to reduce the time between the second and third dose of the vaccine to three months.
Gojković also said that the omicron strain dominates in Serbia and that it has been agreed to reduce the prices of tests at their own request, so PCR tests will cost 6,000 dinars instead of 9,000, and antigen tests instead of 3,500 – 1,800 dinars, reports Tanjug.
When it comes to the second semester in schools, Gojković said that from Monday, elementary school students in Vojvodina will continue their classes directly, while high school students from Vojvodina will start a combined type of classes.
The beginning of the second semester in schools in central Serbia will be decided on Tuesday, and Gojković says that they are the closest to a solution modeled on Vojvodina.
He added that in that case, the problem is the registered occurrence of the flu, which was not present last year.
Gojković also pointed out that the omicron strain dominates in Serbia.
